Egyptian actress Hanan Tork is gearing up for taking the starring role in one of the last plays written by the late Syrian writer Saadullah Wannous entitled Bilad Adyaq Min Al Hobb (a Country Narrower Than Love), according to the Qatari daily Al Rayah.

Costarring in the play is an elite group of theatrical stars including the actor Ahmed Fuad Salim.

However, Tork’s last appearance on the stage was in the play Shafika Wa Mitwalli which she reiterated many times that she would repeat as for the smash hits it recorded when it was portrayed during past seasons.

Regarding her rarity of her stage performance, Tork old the UAE daily Al Bayan, “I do not like to appear as a clown each night. Therefore I wait until I am offered a good script to be staged at the theater and that’s why I performed in only very few drama such as Shafika Wa Mitwalli and Samira Wa Talat Warakat (Samira and Three Papers).

Meanwhile, Tork is gearing up to shoot her film Awdat Al Momiaa (Return of the Mummy) by the Turkish director, Murad Aftamesh, that marks the biggest joint Egyptian Turkish production -- Albawaba.com
