Egyptian actress Hanan Tork attempts to size up the features of her artistic projects for the year 2002 and to express her wish for the return of peace and love to the world in the new year.

Tork who is currently shooting her film Haramiyyah Fi KG 2 (Thief in KG 2) told Albawaba.com, “I like the film’s script as it has much credibility. When I began shooting my role, I discovered the director Sandra Nashat at the artistic and human levels. She made from this film a live picture for Egypt we are unfamiliar with from Luxor to Cairo. I discovered the beauty of Egypt’s landscapes, which astonished me and me happy. I was sad at the same time to see all this beauty in Egypt and yet hear somebody asking to shoot our films in Japan, India or elsewhere. All this beauty and glory in Egypt should be conveyed to the audience. Nashat made the cast move from Luxor to Cairo including the Nile isles which spurred me to claim that she had discovered new places in Egypt.

Tork is also gearing up to shoot her film Hobb Al Banat (Girls Love) which will be shot soon. “In fact, I am convinced with the film and its script by Tamer Habib under the direction of Amr Arafah,” Tork said.

She has also another project for a show, musical and comedy film based on the novel Zikak Al Medak by the Egyptian noble prize winning writer Naguib Mahfouz. “We began with the film’s project but we stopped due to the lack of a producer that can finance it alone. The film is now being implemented under the direction of Adel Adib. I was under the impression that such a film could be financed by more than one producer. The film marks the return of Adel Adib to the cinema but I am scared of hasty production,” Added Tork.

The young actress will also participate in a TV series entitled Abyad Abyad (White, White) written by Osama Ghazi which might be aired during next Ramadan.
