Halsey referenced her recent breakup with G-Eazy while performing on-stage on Saturday in her native New Jersey.

The 23-year-old singer was performing at The Event Center at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City when things got personal.

'I learned recently it's OK to be alone! Being alone is enough,' she told the crowd, according to an article by Us Weekly.

'The second lesson I learned is don't sleep with your ex,' she said before singing her downtempo ballad Sorry.

The Closer singer took to Instagram on July 3 and confirmed that she and her rapper beau G-Eazy, 29, were 'taking some time apart' after dating for nine months.

She later burst into tears while performing Sorry on July 6 in Lansing, Michigan.

Halsey wiped away tears while singing the lyrics, 'Someone will love you / but someone isn't me'.

Former couple: G-Eazy and Halsey, shown last month in Los Angeles, were dating for about a year before she announced their split on July 3

The singer, real name Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, was born in Edison, New Jersey and also reminisced on Saturday about growing up in the Garden State.

The Alone singertold the audience that she went to the same malls, Shop Rites and Wawas and and smoked cigarettes thinking, 'What the f*** am I going to do with my life?', before joking that she's back in New Jersey and still thinking the same thing.

'I love New Jersey. It's like having a little brother and sister. You can make fun of it all you want, but once someone does, you're like, 'What the f*** did you say?!,' she said.

Rising star: Halsey, shown last month at Los Angeles International Airport, rose to fame as the featured vocalist on the 2016 song Closer by The Chainsmokers

She later performed at Borgata's Premier Nightclub and called out the single people in the audience saying they had to go with someone, but she wasn't, before launching into her hit song Bad At Love.

Halsey has been on her Hopeless Fountain Kingdom tour since September 29, 2017.

It is scheduled to conclude on September 26 in Berlin.
