Despite her decision not to accept any new offers during her summer reprieve, Egyptian actress Hala Shiha decided to accept the leading role in the new film “Ureedo Khal’an” (I Want a Divorce) alongside actor Ashraf Abdul Baqi.
While filming, the actress felt restless and requested the director give the cast a one-week vacation to escape the Cairo heat. Hala took off to her usual vacation spot on the coastal beaches of Al Ajami in Beirut.
Hala recently completed the filming of “Ghawi Hubb,” alongside Egyptian singer Mohammad Foad.
The film, produced by ‘Al Adel Group,’ revolves around the social issue of divorce and the agony women go through, even when the break-up is upon their request.
Hala denied rumors that she demanded an inflated salary, which lead to her absence from television. The actress stated that her participation in the new television drama “Raj’elik Ya Iskindiria” (I’m Coming Back Alexandria) is proof that the rumor is a fallacy.
Hala stated that she feels producers have given her fair wages for her roles, and the reason she has not taken part in television dramas as of late, is due to her preoccupation with different films.
