Prominent Egyptian actress Hala Fakher revealed that throughout her acting career she refused to accept provocative roles, and avoided wearing seductive clothing for the sake of her daughters.
Hala said that her father was supportive of her acting career, but wanted her to finish college first before becoming an actress. To her father, being an actress was a prestigious profession, said Hala, and an actor is the one who makes people respect him or her depending on the roles chosen.
Another reason she did not accept seductive roles was out of respect for her father, she added.
According to the internet website MBC.net, Hala revealed that her decision to wear a hijab (female Islamic head covering) was the best decision that she has ever made.
“The hijab is the light that guides me in my life,” said Hala. She does not intend to quit her acting career because of her hijab, because it is not an obstacle.
