Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbi was able to make the list of the 100 most influential figures in the Arab world. The list, which consists of business people, politicians and other VIPs in the Arab world ranked Haifa in the 53rd spot.
The list is created by the Arab company Arabian, which specializes in different business matters. Haifa was considered as a person who has influenced the Arab and Western worlds, regardless of what many critics may think with regards to her singing talent.
The singer was able to obtain a large and fast growing popularity worldwide through her music and her duties as an active Ambassador to human rights and child protection.
On a different note, the Kuwaiti daily newspaper, Al Qabas, published that the Kuwaiti Ministry of Information has refused to grant Haifa a visa to enter Kuwait. The singer had submitted a request for a visa in order to attend a grand opening of a new department store, in which she was specially invited for.
The singer revealed that she was not informed that her visa was denied and that the organizers of the event in which she was invited to had notified her that everything was going according to plans.
Haifa stated that she had visited Kuwait recently and held a private performance at a wedding. She added that she did not encounter any problems with entering Kuwait and is surprised at the recent rumor of her banning.
