While Moroccan singer Saad Lamjarred must be feeling alone and vulnerable while he's being held at France and Europe's largest prison, Fleury-Mérogis, someone has seized the opportunity to cash in on his misery.
An Arab app developer has created a mobile game in line with Saad's arrest, which can be downloaded from Android's online store "Google Play."
In the game, the player is represented as a tiny Saad with a Moroccan fez on, where they're on a mission to escape prison and collect as many coins as possible until enough money has been collected to get them back to Morocco.
Meanwhile, Saad's famous hit "LM3ALLEM" plays in Super Mario-style in the background.
The concept of the game is more insensitive then humorous, especially that Saad is in police custody on aggravated rape charges of a 20-year-old Algerian-French woman.
Luckily for the young singer, the King of Morocco stepped in to help on Tuesday by enlisting the help of his lawyer Eric Dupont Moretti, who "previously defended the king himself in a case of alleged blackmail against French journalists Eric Laurent and Catherine Graciet. The Moroccan sovereign announced that he has "decided to bear costs for the corresponding fees," according to the Maghreb Arab Press.
