Egyptian actress Gala Fahmi will start soon the the shooting of the new TV series al Farashat Tahtareq Daeman (Butterflies Burning Constantly) by cinema director Ali Bader Khan, marking his TV direction debut, according to the daily al Gomhuria.
The series which was scripted by Abu al Ula al Salamoni, depicts the life history of the late famous Egyptian actress Kamilia and her relations with the king, British people, Jews and art.
The 30-episode series portrays the actresses exciting artistic and political career until she dies as a result of burns in a plane crash the causes of which are still mysterious. The events take place in Egypt during the period followed the World War II.
Gala Fahmi who announced her acting quittance following the failure of her film Gala Gala has been nominated to play Kamelia said that she returned to performance to play the new role.
To perform the character of Kamilia, Fahmi sought the help of what had been written about her in the biographies of politicians and critics -- Albawaba.com
