Following in the Kardashians' footsteps, late-night comic Conan O'Brien has taken a trip to Armenia.

But this wasn't to connect with his ancestors like Kimmy did, but to film a special episode in the European country, accompanied by his longtime assistant Sona Movesian.

“I think it’s every boss’s responsibility to take their assistant back to their ancestral land,” said O’Brien in a statement, explaining that Movesian is of Armenian descent. “That’s why I’m going to make sure my next assistant was born in a five-star resort in Tuscany."

While Conan became the first American late night TV host in nearly 50 years to film a show in Cuba, he's now breaking a record again by becoming the first to do a show from Armenia, as well!

Around 1.81 million people watched an original broadcast of the unscripted “Conan in Cuba.” Will millions be interested in his Armenia special too?

The episode is slated to air on TBS on Nov 10.
