ALBAWABA - Sadness and grief dominated during the funeral of Egyptian star Hani Shaker, as a large number of celebrities, media figures, and fans gathered at the Abu Shaqqa Mosque to bid him farewell.
Local media confirmed Wednesday that the funeral was held under tight security measures.
The body of the deceased arrived in Egypt early Wednesday morning, wrapped in the Egyptian flag and accompanied by his family, including his son Sharif and his wife Nahla Tawfiq.
It was then taken to a hospital in preparation for his burial, which took place later today.
