The grandfather's health crisis, which blurs the lines between time and memory and creates a disconnect between past and present, gives the plot a poignant and human turn. Here, the diaries transform from neglected papers into a key to understanding his personality and an attempt to reconstruct his memory—not only medically, but also psychologically and humanly. One of his grandchildren suggests turning these diaries into an artistic work that reenacts episodes from the grandfather's life, intertwining reality with acting and memory with imagination, and embarking on a collective journey that reopens questions about values, work, ambition, and relationships within the family.
