Mohamed Sobhi Ramadan 2026

After a period of absence, artist Mohamed Sobhi returns to radio dramas this year with a series titled "Temporarily Suspended from Service." The comedy revolves around Fakhry, a retired anesthesiologist who clings to the simplicity of his time and its old values, while his children and grandchildren feel his outlook on life is out of touch with their reality. Behind this generational clash lies a hidden creative side, which the grandfather has been denied the opportunity to express, leaving behind cryptic and symbolic memoirs whose significance initially goes unnoticed.

The grandfather's health crisis, which blurs the lines between time and memory and creates a disconnect between past and present, gives the plot a poignant and human turn. Here, the diaries transform from neglected papers into a key to understanding his personality and an attempt to reconstruct his memory—not only medically, but also psychologically and humanly. One of his grandchildren suggests turning these diaries into an artistic work that reenacts episodes from the grandfather's life, intertwining reality with acting and memory with imagination, and embarking on a collective journey that reopens questions about values, work, ambition, and relationships within the family. With each situation, new layers of the grandfather's personality and those of his family members are revealed within a framework that blends comedy with nostalgia and social reflection.

The series stars Mohamed Sobhi, Mohamed Abu Dawood, Abdel Rahim Hassan, Reham Ibrahim, Sherif Mohsen, and others. The lyrics are by poet Ahmed Darwish, the music and melodies are by Sherif Hamdan, and the series is written and directed by Ayman Fatiha.

"Saayem wala nayem" brings together Medhat Saleh and Entisar.

Artist Medhat Saleh is collaborating with artist Entisar on the radio series "Fasting or Sleeping," which is scheduled to be broadcast daily on Youth and Sports Radio 108 FM at 5 pm before the Maghrib prayer. The work is written by Mohamed El Shorbagy and directed by Amr Abdo Diab.
