Algerian singer Fula has described the year 2011 as a complete disaster to her and the Arab world as a whole, and is very happy it came to an end. Fula stated that she wishes from the bottom of her heart that all the bloodshed and pain people suffered will disappear and a new page will be open in 2012.
Fula considered her banning from Egypt during 2011 a very tough thing for her, but she was able to overcome it and had learned a lot from it. She said that she realized that the people behind her banning were members of the former Egyptian regime that was overthrown by the people.
With regards to the New Year, Fula revealed that she plans on continuing to sing for women, love and injustice experienced by people. She added that she will film a number of music videos that are similar in style to clips by Madonna and Lady Gaga.
Fula noted that she intends on moving her permanent residence to Paris and is currently in the process of obtaining her French passport.
