Smith - a fan of the Middle East - is considering a career in politics if the current candidates don’t tone down the “crazy” political rhetoric - that means you Donald Trump.
“If people keep saying all the crazy kinds of stuff they’ve been saying on the news lately about walls and Muslims,” Smith said, referring to Trump’s proposed Muslim ban, “they're going to force me into the political arena.”
The two-time Oscar nominee could seriously be trading Tinseltown for Washington D. C. after twenty successful years in showbiz.
“I think being the biggest movie star in the world, as a goal, actually was too small,” Smith told CBS’s Sunday Morning.
This is something Smith has been thinking about for four years now.
“I realized that the dream was too small . . . I realized that there was no way that I was put here just to be a movie star,” he continued.
When CBS asked Smith what position in government he'd aim for, he specified, “I mean, I gotta be the president. Come on! What else would I run for?”
Nothing is far-fetched for the "Men in Black" actor, who added, “I tell my kids, ‘Be as unrealistic as possible, and then figure out how to make it real. The best things that have ever happened, ever, were unrealistic before they happened.”
