ALBAWABA - The Arab audience is excited after the news that the Turkish series "Ask-ı Memnu" [Forbidden Love], which gained massive viewership ratings when it was first showcased in 2010, is getting an Arabic version.

Turkish series Forbidden Love made a big fanbase in the Middle East and Arab countries when it first broadcast 16 years ago in the original copy, which was back then dubbed into Arabic.

A possible Arabic version will be aired in the second half of 2026, after the Layl series, which depicts the Turkish story of Sefirin Kızı [The Ambassador's Daughter] is now airing, and after it finishes, an Arabic version of Sen Çal Kapımı [Love Is in the Air] will be broadcast. After the end of Sen Çal Kapımı, many said a copy of Ask-ı Memnu would be released.

Forbidden Love is a Turkish drama series that tells the story of a rich man named Adnan Ziyagil who gets married to a young woman called Bihter. A forbidden love is ignited between Adnan's nephew, Behlül, and Bihter, as they live in the same house.

Adnan has two children, a daughter, Nihal Ziyagil, who is also in love with Behlül and a son called Bülent Ziyagil. The kids rejected the marriage at the beginning since Bihter is much younger than their father, Adnan.
