Ali Jaber, the Group TV Director of MBC, said in a recent radio interview that season 5 of Arabs Got Talent is "the most important one yet."
Ali, who sits on the AGT celebrity judging panel, alongside Lebanese starlet Najwa Karam, Egyptian comedian actor Ahmed Helmy and Saudi comedian and actor Nasser al Qasabi, told Fame FM that "this season has an even wider talent pool than ever before."
"What makes AGT so successful is the fact that you never know what you're going to get with each act. The shows attracts old and young audiences; it's for the entire family," Ali said.
As for rumors about Najwa allegedly leaving the show, Ali said that "Najwa doesn't need convincing to stay, she loves AGT and she's very happy with us. We really appreciate her."
Ali also commented on Nasser's shock exit from the show, pointing out that the actor has been working on the series he left AGT to film, for three years now.
But why isn't AGT replacing Nasser? According to Ali, nobody is big enough to fill his shoes. Now that's what we call a real compliment from the Simon Cowell of Arab talent shows!
Arabs Got Talent will air in March 2017.
