This Ramadan season there are four Saudi dramas series being aired consecutively on “MBC” satellite channel, “Um Al Halah”, “Tash Ma Tash 16”, “Baini O Bainak 3” and “Awanes City” (Maidens City).
This shows MBC channel has full confidence in Saudi drama projects.
The move by MBC has been described as risky since the story- line of the four drama series is similar.
The series “Baini O Bainak 3” includes the two Turkish actresses “Noor” and “Lamis” to attract viewers, although critics claim that the story line is taking too long to develop.
For the first time we see a kissing scene in a Saudi drama series, featured in the drama series “Hawameer Al Sahra,” leading to speculation that there is less censorship.
The drama series “Hawameer Al Sahra” is being aired on “Rotana Khalijya” satellite channel and from its first episode there are several courageous scenes filmed in night clubs serving alcoholic beverages.
