Ever heard of Noah Hawley?

He's a renowned novelist, but perhaps more famous for his FX series Fargo, adapted from the 1996 Coen Brothers movie of the same name. The anthology crime series has had a winning streak of three seasons, winning acclaim and viewership numbers alike.

Now it's been announced that Hawley—also the creator of Legion, another popular show—is working on a TV show about Doctor Doom, the Marvel Comics supervillain whose hobbies include fighting the Fantastic Four and murdering subtlety. Which, for a writer for Hawley's stripe, is weird.

The announcement came at the end of the Legion panel at the San Diego Comic-Con.

Dr. Victor von Doom has appeared in past Fantastic Four movies, portrayed twice by Julian McMahon (2005's Fantastic Four; 2007's Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer) and once by Toby Kebbell (2015's Fan4stic).
