The managing office of Lebanese diva Fairouz sent out a press release stating that a DVD titled “Fairouz” is soon to be released by ‘EMI Records,’ featuring an interview with Fairouz in 1989 conducted by French journalist Fredrick Mitraan.

The office confirmed that ‘EMI’ will not release a biography titled “The Life Story of Fairouz by Fairouz.”

During the interview Fairouz talks about her life’s journey and her career. Previously interview was aired on the ‘Arab Radio and Television’ (ART) network.

On a different note, Fairouz's angelical voice recently illuminated the new play "Sah El Noum" (Good Morning), starring Fairouz.

The play was scheduled to open during the Ba'albak Festival, but was postponed due to the war between Israel and Lebanon last summer. Writer Ziad Al Rahbani declined to postpone the play for a second time, despite the political crisis clouding over Lebanon.

Large crowds attended the play opening night, although there were delays due to the mobs of protestors that filled the streets.  The youthful audience interacted with Fairouz as she sang a selection of her most popular hits like "Ya Amar Ya Amar" and "Meen Ma Kan Bietmarjal Alaina".

The audience was mesmerized by Fairouz who appeared elegant and confident on stage, reported the London based daily, Al Sharq Al Awsat.

Fairouz recently returned to the UAE to where she held an elite performance at the Emirate Palace in Abu Dhabi, considered one of the most luxurious hotels in the world.

Tickets were almost immediately sold out and her performance drew crowds of Arab VIP’s and internationals.  A chorus of over 50 accompanied the singer and the performance was closed to the press.
