The promotional campaign that was launched for the new show "Qasr Al Kalam" (Palace of Discussion) featuring posters of Egyptian journalist and television presenter Wafa Kilani and announcing that it will be aired on MBC Egypt was not sufficient to have the show see the light during the holy month of Ramadan. The show was taken out of the Ramadan program agenda for the channel.

According to the Middle East news portal Elaph, Wafa tweeted on her official page on Twitter that the decision to cancel the airing of the show was due to the fact that after the Egyptian Revolution of June 30 it was no longer appropriate to air the show because the episodes that are already recorded feature guests that talk about the political conditions in Egypt in the reign of the Muslim Brotherhood, who the ousted President Mohammad Morsi belonged to.

Wafa stated that she had filmed the episodes three weeks before the revolution and the conversations she held with her guests revolved around the political conditions at that time that now cease to exist. Wafa felt it would be unfair for her guests to air the show opening doors that are now closed.
