ALBAWABA - 2024 has witnessed a plethora of excellent series including FX's The Bear, Shogun, and Netflix's Baby Reindeer, despite also receiving stinkers like Amazon's The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Star Wars: The Acolyte, Velma Season 2 and more. Today we will be listing everything and everyone who received an award at the 2024 Emmys:
"Shōgun" won big at this year's Emmys with 25 nominations while also receiving several major awards. The Bear came in shy second with 23 nominations, making it the "most ever for a comedy series" to receive this number of Emmy nominations.

Hiroyuki Sanada became the first Japanese actor to win Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series at the Emmys, marking a historical win for Japan, following another win for Anna Sawai who also starred in the spectacular series.
For Outstanding Drama Series, Shogun went up against The Crown, Fallout, The Gilded Age, The Morning Show, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Slow Horses, and 3 Body Problem.
Hiroyuki Sanada had tough competition this year with Idris Elba, Donald Glover, Walton Goggins, Gary Oldman, and
Dominic West going against him but he still copped the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series Emmy award.
Anna Sawai also copped the Outstanding Lead Actress in a drama series as she went against Jennifer Aniston, Carrie Coon, Maya Erskine, Imelda Staunton, and Reese Witherspoon.

The Bear first aired on streaming service FX in 2022 and garnered quite an audience due to its excellent storyline and well-written characters.
Although it lost against 'Hacks' for "Outstanding Comedy Series," The Bear still received other nominations and wins as mentioned above.
