A number of Emirati and Arab artists participated in a demonstration held recently in Dubai in solidarity with the Palestinian people, according to the Arabic daily al Sharq al Awsat.

Among the participants were the UAE singers Ahlam, Abdullah Belkheir, Fayez al Said, Rida al Abdullah and Lebanese singer Julia Butros, as well as Sheikh Said Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the son of Dubai Crown Prince and UAE Defense Minister.

The demonstrators expressed their anger over the Israeli savage attacks in the Palestinian land.

Ahlam appealed to the press to expose and bring to light the Israeli savagery. She also called for cutting all kinds of communications with Israel.

Al Said said, “this solidarity demonstration is the least thing we can do to support the Palestinian people.”

“During this demonstration, we - the Arab singers in the UAE – agreed to present a joint art work to be a protesting shout against the Israeli actions in the Palestinian lands,“ added the singer – Albawaba.com
