Elton John acknowledged in court Wednesday that he lives so lavishly that it costs him as much as $2.15 million a month.

"I have no one to leave the money to. I'm a single man. I like spending my money," the pop star testified.

John, 53, has accused accountants PricewaterhouseCoopers and Andrew Haydon, former managing director of John Reid Enterprises, John's longtime management company, of negligence in managing his financial affairs. The amount of his claim has not been disclosed.

Defense lawyers depicted John as an overly generous man with a poor grasp of his financial affairs.

John testified that he spent $43 million on personal expenses over a 20-month period in 1996-97. – Albawaba.com.
