A Moroccan company responsible for organizing musical events has filed a lawsuit against the famous Lebanese artist Elissa for not hosting a concert after she agreed to perform at the event.

In a Moroccan newspaper one of the company’s representatives said that an agent for Elissa received $USD30,000 of the total payment of $USD55,000 up front.

The concert was scheduled for August 21, yet Elissa’s agent called two days before the event stating that Elissa would not attend.

Lebanese artist Bascal Mishalani took her place.

Elissa’s agent has offered to return the money and to schedule another live concert for Elissa, but the Moroccan company refused, hoping to recover damages incurred by the cancelled concert.
