Ahlam Al Kamangati (Violinist Dreams) is the first film to be shot in a new video technique which depends on shooting by modern Video cameras, according to the Arabic daily Al Sharq Al Awsat.
“The new shooting method will be used in many upcoming films and series to consolidate the idea which has become a key demand in the new millenium,” the head of the Egyptian TV Production Department, Medhat Zaki told the daily.
The film based on the story of Mageda Khairallah is directed by Yaser Zaher. It is about the human relations between a father and a daughter with their contradicting dreams, which conflict with the real situation.
Costarring in the film is a large number of stars including Ahmed Rateb, Sawsan Bader, and Siham Galal who play the husband, wife and daughter consecutively in addition to Ehab Fahmi, Sayyed Azmi and Sami Maghawri.
Ahmed Rateb plays the master of a musical troupe and Siham Galal, his daughter, plays the dancer while Ehab Fahmi plays director for advertisements who discovers the talents of the dancer. The new actress plays the singer Ahlam and Sayyed Azmi plays an accordion player -- Albawaba.com
