Veteran Egyptian actress Nadia Lotfi is in hospital after her health severely deteriorated on Monday.
Father Botrous Daniel, head of the Catholic Cinema Centre, announced the news on his official page on Facebook, revealing that "she is curently in the ICU and we are praying for her."
Doctors have prohibited anyone from visiting the 82-year-old star.
Nadia was born 3 January, 1934, to an Egyptian father and a Turkish mother. She is one of the most iconic actresses of Egyptian cinema's "Golden Age."
