A New Year's Concert will take place at the Cairo Opera House on December 31 and at the Alexandria Opera House on January 1.
The Cairo Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Ahmed El-Saedi, will perform a number of known works by Johann Strauss (Jr.), Joseph Strauss, Franz von Suppé, Franz Lehár, Hans Christian Lumbye among others. The concert will be joined by soprano Nicoleta Radu.
Apart from the standard compositions often performed during the New Year's celebrations, the conductor reveals that there will be a few new musical surprises.
