Stuff we’re excited for:

Dunkirk.

Christopher Nolan is a formidable filmmaker, which is something Warner Bros. knows. They’ve released his films Batman Begins, The Prestige, The Dark Knight, Inception, The Dark Knight Rises, and Interstellar. And now they’ll be releasing Dunkirk, starring Fionn Whitehead, Tom Glynn-Carney, Jack Lowden, Harry Styles, Aneurin Barnard, James D'Arcy, Barry Keoghan, Kenneth Branagh, Cillian Murphy, Mark Rylance, and Tom Hardy (who’s worked with Nolan twice before).

The film, a World War II drama about the Battle of Dunkirk, will concern the British withdrawal from the battle, and told from three perspectives.

Best of all, for those of you lucky to see it properly, is that the film will be screened in 70MM format. It was largely shot in IMAX, and all of it on 65 mm.

In other words, it will look gorgeous.

The new trailer quotes Winston Churchill’s famous “We shall fight on the beaches” speech, but I suspect it's done ironically. Those are some frightened

Anyway, interesting trailer ahead. There’s a bit in there where Harry Styles from One Direction gets shot at a little bit. Tom Hardy drives a plane. People die.

All of which you can watch in a few weeks.
