OK, listen-up. We’re gonna lay some hard truths in this joint.
You know the Harry Potter movies? Those ones about the wizard kids and the wands and the talking paintings? Those weren’t documentaries. No kidding. None of it was real.
In fact, kids, magic is not real. Wizards and witches are not real. Hogwarts is the stuff of JK Rowling’s imagination. Gandalf was just a guy in a hat.
Which is why it blows our minds that Moroccan singer Dunia Batma has had to defend herself against accusations of witchcraft.
See, Batma got married recently, but because her husband left his wife and children for her, she’s been accused of witchcraft. Notably, she’s been accused of witchcraft by her husband’s ex-wife, who took the accusation to Instagram.
In a saner world, Batma would say, “But darlings, there is no such thing as witchcraft.”
But in the real world, Batma said, “To everyone telling me that Moroccan women are witches, I say: get this ridiculous idea out of your head, because witches are everywhere, not just Morocco.” She added, “They say, ‘This woman is a witch to keep this man with her’…but I married him legally and religiously. It’s nobody else’s business.”
There aren’t any witches involved at all, you idiots. Witches are make-believe.
