Kris Fade from Virgin Radio Dubai has beaten Justin Timberlake, Rihanna and Justin Bieber to number one spot on the UAE iTunes album playlist with the launch of ‘Kris Fade's Hit List Volume 1'.
“These are some of the biggest tunes we’ve been playing on Virgin Radio 104.4 and the tracks that have the most requests,” Fade told 7DAYS, adding that his CD packaged international hits with a special local flavour.
The album features a compilation of 18 of the year’s hottest tracks, including the likes of Katy Perry, Swedish House Mafia and Sean Paul, along with special bonus content including parodies rapped by Fade himself such as ‘Dirham In My Pocket’ and ‘Shawarmas in Karama’.
“It’s something that people want to hear because it includes real local songs that you can really only understand if you live in the UAE,” said Fade.
The collection also includes the most hilarious prank calls recorded from Fade’s show, as well as an exclusive track from the UAE’s very own Hollaphonic.
“Hopefully, on future albums, we could feature more artists from around the region to give them an avenue to get onto CDs as well,” he said. ‘Kris Fade’s Hit List’ is now selling at Virgin Megastores across the UAE and is also available for download on iTunes.
