British musician Liam Gallagher will headline Party in the Park in Dubai later in the year.
This year’s iteration of the annual festival will be held at the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre on Friday, November 10.
The show will be in part to promote Gallagher’s debut solo album, As You Were, which will release in October.
Gallagher released “Wall of Glass” in June, the first song from the album, co-written with Andrew Wyatt; it was met with good reviews. Sharing songwriting duties are producers Greg Kurstin and Dan Grech-Marguerat. Interestingly, Gallagher has been outspoken against some of the artists these producers have worked with.
Gallagher was part of the popular Manchester band Oasis, which split in 2009, which dissolved after a public spat with his older brother Noel.
Gallagher is the latest UK artist to head to the festival, which has included The Stereophonics and Razorlight in 2015 and Lily Allen in 2014.
