ALBAWABA - President Donald Trump overshadowed Taylor Swift by becoming the first sitting president to attend a Super Bowl. After the game, he made sure to make fun of her for it.
When Swift appeared on the jumbotron during the game, the supporters booed her loudly, whereas the Superdome audience cheered Trump enthusiastically when he appeared on television during the national anthem. Swift also had to watch her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, a tight end with the Kansas City Chiefs, lose badly to the Philadelphia Eagles, the team she grew up supporting, 40–22.
After the game, Trump made fun of her and the team in a post on Truth Social. Trump attributed the jeering to supporters of his "Make America Great Again" campaign.
Taylor Swift was the only one who had a more difficult night than the Kansas City Chiefs. As she exited the stadium, she faced jeers. MAGA is quite harsh. Trump wrote.

In another post on Truth Social during the game, Trump included recordings of Swift being jeered and him receiving applause.
Swift and Trump have been at odds during Trump's 2024 presidential campaign over the past year.
On September 10, Swift declared her support for Kamala Harris for president. The following morning, Trump made an appearance on "Fox & Friends" and stated that he preferred Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes' wife, Brittany Mahomes, to Swift. Brittany Mahomes used social media to express her support for Trump.

Days after Swift endorsed Harris, Trump even posted on Truth Social, saying, "I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!" instead.
Following the public revelation of Swift's relationship with Kelce in September 2023, she emerged as a controversial figure among NFL fans for the following year. She started going to most Chiefs games, and the NFL broadcast cameras would pan to her several times during each game.
Swift was credited with attracting a large number of new fans, particularly female fans, to the Chiefs and the NFL in general. However, the repeated sight of Swift at games made many die-hard NFL fans sick.
Swift was present when Kelce and the Chiefs won the Super Bowl the previous year. Then, to the chagrin of NFL fans who had grown weary of seeing and hearing about her, she continued to make appearances at games this year.
Amid the controversy surrounding Mahomes' support for Trump and Swift's support for Harris, Swift also appeared conspicuously aloof from Mahomes at several games during the previous season. They did, however, continue to express their love for the public in other ways, such as hosting a dinner party with Patrick Mahomes and Kelce a few days prior to the Super Bowl.
Trump has no qualms about making fun of the Mahomes family, Kelce, and even the Chiefs in his Truth Social post on Sunday night, even though he applauded them all.
Trump, however, didn't end there.
He also voiced his opposition to the NFL's new kickoff format, which he has been strongly opposing since the season's opening week.
"Watching the kickoff, when the ball is flying in the air and the entire field is frozen and rigid, was by far the worst part of the Super Bowl. College football does not, and will not, do that! Who came up with the plan to spoil the game? Trump wrote.
