Lebanese artist Dolly Shaheen denied rumors that she celebrated her divorce.
A recent article claimed that Dolly invited a number of her Lebanese and Egyptian friends to attend a celebration held at a five star hotel by the Nile River after divorcing her Lebanese husband Sami Salim.
The article reported great conflicts between Dolly and Sami, and that their case took more than one year in family court.
The court annulled the marriage because Dolly was said to have converted to Islam and her husband was still a Roman Catholic.
According to the London daily Elaph, Dolly said certain members of the press are trying to diminish her accomplishments and wanted to create some kind of religious prejudices.
