Production Company ‘Rotana’ will release the latest album by DJ Osane, “Asmar,” on February 8.  The album features eight songs recorded in original, instrumental, and club mixes.

The album includes remixes of old favorites by some of the most prominent singers in Arabic music.  The song “Asmar” was originally sung by Lebanese singer Samira Tawfiq.

Osane has a unique ability to remix Arabic songs, adding a western touch that matches their oriental composition.  He believes that music is the language of all nations, and takes care to preserve the original meaning of each song.

The album was recorded in ‘Talkies,’ ‘Rouge Abi Akil,’ ‘Joe Barojian,’ and ‘Electra’ studios.

Osane is known for his hit songs ‘Tango’ and ‘Zalghouta’ which he created for the HBO television drama “The Sex & the City.”  In addition, he wrote the song “Raje Yet’amar Lebanon” (Reconstructing Lebanon), dedicated to his mother country.
