For the first time after her retract from resigning dancing, prominent Egyptian belly dancer Dina held unforgettable performances on New Year’s Eve in four different hotels. Each hotel witnessed large crowds of people more than was expected causing the ballrooms to be overcrowded and extra chairs to be brought in. it seemed that people were so anxious to see Dina in action that even bigger crowds were outside hotels wanting to get a small glance of the dancer.

Her first appearance was in Al Salam Concord Hotel where she performed eight different dances. The fans were very excited to see their beloved star and they reacted by going up on stage and began dancing with her. Dina had called on a number of bodyguards to protect her from anxious fans, who were following her around from one hotel to the other.

According to the London based Elaph, after dancing for an hour and a half Dina left to the Nile Hilton where she danced for the same time duration. Then she performed in Sameer Amise where she danced for three hours in two different halls. The total hours she danced was more than five, a sign that her come back is a strong one insisting on proving she is one of the most prominent belly dancers in the Arab world.

The management of the hotels failed to ban photography of the belly dancer, because her fans were so eager to see their star back to dancing again. It was noticed that there were feminine fans for Dina among those were famous actress and singer Simone who came after midnight to Sameer Amise Hotel to see Dina perform her creative dances.

Dina had announced that she will be performing in different places on New Year's Eve, wanting to welcome the New Year in her own special way, in way wanting to make up for lost time.

A major crisis took place between Dina and her colleague actress Athar Alhakim while shooting the scenes for the TV drama “Frisca”. Dina was about to shoot one of the scenes wearing a very revealing dress triggering Athar to begin criticizing her appearance.

Athar stressed that she is not comfortable acting alongside someone dressed in such an inappropriate manner, adding that Dina cannot shoot the scene wearing the dress she had on. Dina refused to change the dress saying that it is essential for the part she is performing. Dina added that there is censorship in Egypt and if they felt her appearance is inappropriate they will omit the scenes.

Athar was not convinced and insisted on her opinion. All attempts from director Magdi Ahmed Ali failed to convince Athar that he was the one to decide if the dress was improper or not. Athar left the scene very angry and all efforts failed to make her change her mind.

Endeavors are still on to try to reach mutual grounds so the shooting of the scenes would proceed. The movie revolves around three characters that struggle to succeed in life. Costarring with the two actresses are Tawfiq Abdul Hameed, Hassan Abdul Hameed, Nabil Nour Aldin, Ameera Ala’idi. –Albawaba.com
