Diana Haddad’s latest album Akhbar Helwa (Good News) opens with its title song, which looks to be one of the album’s greatest hits. It’s a beautiful track that brings out the best in Haddad’s powerful voice, according to Thisiscyberia.com.

Akhbar Helwa is a good, varied album that consists of ten songs, three of which are Lebanese, three Egyptian, three Khaliji (Gulf) based songs, while one is more Bedouin-oriented. Haddad’s beautiful voice enables her to mix emotions with pride. In other words, she doesn’t get over-sentimental.

Haddad got started in 1996 when she released her first album Saken, the title song of which was an immediate success all over the Arab World. Other hits that followed included Ahel Al Esheq, Bizaal Minak, Ghaltiti, Ya Binti and Ammaneh, which remained number one on many charts for several weeks.

Likewise, the title song of her fifth album, Shater (Smart), was number one for many weeks in Arab countries.

Finally, there is good news for Haddad on a more personal level, too. She is currently pregnant with her second child – Albawaba.com
