“Despacito” is No Longer No.1 (But You Won’t Believe Which Song Topped It)

It was bound to happen eventually: “Despacito,” the most popular song ever in terms of streams, wasn’t going to hold the no. 1 spot forever.

But you won’t believe which song beat it out.

Bonnie Tyler’s 1983 hit “Total Eclipse of the Heart” has seen a resurgence in popularity, becoming iTunes’s no. 1 song because the moon blocked-out the sun yesterday in the United States.

Yep: “Total Eclipse of the Heart” has become an unofficial anthem for the eclipse, thereby taking “Despacito”’s crown.

The song comes from Tyler’s 1983 album Faster Than the Speed of Night. iTunes is selling it for $1.29.
