Egyptian comedy star, Ahmed Adam, has recently withdrawing from co-starring in Munir Radi's latest work for the big screen "Indian Movie", according to the daily Gomhuriya newspaper.
"I'm busy working on my new play 'Al Makhdoo' (The Deceived) for the upcoming fall season," Adam told the newspaper. Adding that the play will be the theatrical debut for director Sharief Munir, who directed Adam’s last movies “Rajol al Abyad al Mutawasset” (The Mediterranean Man) and “Huwa Fi Eih” (What’s Up?).
Starting his year with a big success, Ahmed Adam’s “Rajol al Abyad al Mutawasset”, co-starring Ezzat Abu Ouf, Maged Kadwani, and Sumayyah Khashab, made huge earnings in the first few days of its showing.
The movie circles around Zaghloul (Ahmed Adam), a middle class man whose family members are so poor, not even able to renovate their old house, which is on the edge f collapse. One day, after being blamed for not providing enough money, Zaghloul meets a businessman, Adham (Ezzat Abu Ouf), whom he offers to help save his ailing business.
Still considered one of the most popular comedians in Egypt, Ahmed Adam has startled everyone last year, by announcing his next step of making his directorial debut in the theatre. Adam still didn’t put his work in action and is holding meetings with many screenwriters to come up with a script for his first production. – Albawaba.com
