Actress Dalal Abdel Aziz is currently mastering Alchemy, according to the Kuwaiti, Al Rai Alaam. Not of any surprise, the reason behind this was due to an upcoming movie shooting ‘Al-Bashkar’, written by Mohammed Al-Ghayti and to be directed Mahmoud Bakri. The movie stars Riyad Al-Khawli, Wafa Amer, and Gamil Ismael.
As an alchemist, Dalal takes command of the village she settles in, by convincing the villagers that her so-called healing powers and future foretelling are real. Bashkar, played by Riyad Il-Khouri, a witty personality outsmarting the alchemist, embarks on the challenging task of leading the villagers to seek the truth.
Before the shooting of the movie, Dalal was offered another part in the script, Bashkar’s wife, yet not of any interest to her, ‘Falling in love with the personality is what counts’, she states in one interview though it is only a small part in the overall script.
Dalal is also involved in the filming of another movie, re-uniting her with her husband, Samir Ghanem. Last time seen together on set was 12 years ago in the movie ‘Akhouya Hayess Wa Ana Layess’ (My Brother’s Clumsiness & My Awkwardness).
