Namaste, Dalai Lama! Iranian actress gets a meet and greet with the Tibetan spiritual leader

The renowned Iranian actress, Katayoun Riahi has met the Tibetan spiritual leader, Dalai Lama, during her humanitarian travel to India.

Riahi has paid a visit to India to present her sympathy and humanitarian aid to the people in need at this part of the globe.

As the founder of Iran’s Komak Charity Foundation, Riahi visited a number of Myanmar’s Muslim refugees living in the Indian camps.

The award-winning Iranian actress also visited a village of leprosy patients in the Indian capital, New Delhi, during her trip last week.

Riahi proposed March 23 to be globally called the “Day of God and Human Peace” when no blood will be shed. 

She had been earlier assigned as the ambassador of the country's Mehrafarin Charity Society and paid visit to the famine stricken Somali refugees in the North Eastern Province of Kenya.

Born in 1961, Riahi has starred in many Iranian movies and TV series and received several awards.

Her role in the internationally renowned Iranian TV series Prophet Joseph earned her international fame.
