A number of plays that are scheduled to take place in different theater houses in Egypt this Eid (Muslim holiday after the fasting month of Ramadan) are facing a crisis over the pulling out of most of their leading actresses. The first shock came to director of the play "Imsik Houkamatak" (Hold Your Government), Jalal Al Sharkawi, when its leading actress Wafa Amer apologized for not being able to continue taking part in it.

A similar shock occurred to producer Issam Imam when Egyptian actress Yusra regretfully pulled out of the play "Lama Baba Yenam" (When Father Sleeps), stressing she is unable to continue due to the fact that her dear friend the late Egyptian actor Alaa Wali El Din was once part of the crew and the thought of continuing without him is too devastating emotionally for her.

Egyptian actress Shireen Saif El Din also pulled out of the popular play "Body Guard" alongside Egyptian comedian Adel Imam, saying that she is in the middle of preparing for her wedding day and is unable to divide her time to take part in the play. Other actresses starring in other plays also began apologizing to producers and directors for being unable to continue in their plays for different reasons.

On a different note, Yusra has been witnessing ongoing success for her achievements in the acting world, whether on the big screen or on television. The actress has won many awards for her roles in different works, proving herself to be on top of some of the most prominent actors in the Arab world.

In a personal interview held with Yusra, she expressed that she can relate herself with the young generation of actors and directors very easily, due to the fact that despite her age she is a young child at heart. The actress revealed that she finds working with the younger generation to be a very challenging experience that calls for her to be daring and makes her forget that an age gap exists.

Yusra stressed that she is not afraid to express a woman’s feelings and needs on the screen, and who is not pressured by the restrictions placed by the community. For this reason, she finds working with Egyptian controversial director Enas Al Deghaidi to be very interesting and has in fact acted in four different films directed by Enas. Yusra noted that she considers Enas as the sister she never has and cherishes her relationship with her saying it is based on trust and love. –Albawaba.com
