Egyptian authorities have referred actor Jalal Al Sharqawi and Nabil Munib, a teacher at the Higher Theatrical Art Institute, to the Art Academy’s disciplinary council, according to the Egyptian daily Al Gomhuriyya.
The investigators said Sharqawi and Munib had misbehaved, violated the dignity of their positions, and undermined university norms and conduct.
The authorities submitted evidence that Munib abused and defamed Sharqawi in the presence of his colleagues at an academy staff meeting.
For his part, Sharqawi responded with insulting words, spat in Munib’s face, and threw a cup of water at his foe.
