It's a night to celebrate music's biggest names, but it certainly wasn't for the faint of heart.

The 2018 MTV Video Music Awards was marked by questionable fashion choices, as luminaries from the entertainment industry lead by Blac Chyna, Nicki Minaj, Amber Rose and Black Ink Crew star Sky attempted to one up each other on the red carpet at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City on Monday.

Blac Chyna was among the top contenders for most outrageously dressed in an all chain link dress while Amber dropped jaws as she channeled her inner dominatrix - yet Sky, while she was arguably the less known out of the foursome - was determined to tu

Leading the questionable glamour on the red carpet was Rob Kardashian's ex Blac who was clad in an ensemble entirely made of chains, complete with a sheer mini skirt, a perilously tiny chain bralet and a coordinating cape with fringe detailing made entirely of the same chains.

The former reality TV star flaunted her famous peachy posterior in the outfit, which was barely contained, while she also drew the eye to her eye-popping cleavage and extremely taut abs.

Ensuring her accessories were as bold as the rest of her ensemble, she wore a series of silver rings on every finger along with a knuckle-duster handbag while her shoes were equally dazzling.

The star of the now defunct E! series Rob & Chyna styled her peroxide blonde tresses into a coiffed quiff with tendrils framing her face while she coordinating her eye make-up to her ensemble perfectly.

Peep show: Chyna showed plenty of skin in a skimpy G-string which was visible from beneath the pink chains

Never one to shy away from showing off as much skin as possible, Nicki decided to go for a sporty look with a stretchy gym-inspired ensemble layered beneath a floor-sweeping petty coat.

She wore her hair in pigtails, after enhancing the locks with knee-length extensions - leaving the endless tresses tumbling over her shoulders while drawing the eye to her physique even further.

Her make-up was lavishly applied with fluttering strip lashes opening her eyes further while she accessorised with a thick pair of silver hoops while also rocking stacks of rings and bracelets.

Pucker up: Nicki prepares to kiss her award after winning for her Chun Li music video

Amber Rose appeared to have mistaken the evening for a Halloween party as she slipped her curvaceous figure into a dominatrix-inspired outfit - complete with a cone bra and eye-wateringly tiny thong.

She covered up her trademark peroxide blonde crop with the addition of a red mask with cat ears while also rocking coordinating gloves and suspenders.

The red ensemble even featured a cat-o-nine-tails whip. The ex girlfriend of Kanye West appeared to be wearing light blue contacts to give her eyes a piercing look.

Get to the point: Rose rocked Madonna-inspired pointy cups

Flyyy Sky made her presence felt at the with an ensemble that was an homage to Lil' Kim.

The reality star, 34, donned a silver onesie with a glittery two-piece silver pantsuit with no top under her coat, revealing her breasts, which were concealed by large silver pasties.

The Black Ink Crew personality had her short dark locks slicked to the side, and wore light blue eye shadow that complemented her look with diamond earrings.

Rita Ora, who has never been shy about flaunting her physique ever since storming into the spotlight in 2012, left almost nothing to the imagination as she went braless in her sexy dress, which was adorned with black swirls.

She continued in the the string of stars leaving nothing to the imagination as she opted to shed her bra underneath the sheer material while also sporting only tiny knickers.

The star added to her quickly look with some striking accessorises, including a chunky glitzy choker and an ornate ring bracelet... In her hand she toted a spherical gem-encrusted black evening bag, no doubt full of her essentials for the evening out.

Rita slicked her hair back in a sleek wet look, ensuring her pretty features, which were enhanced with touches of make-up, were in full view.

Jennifer Farley and Nicole Polizzi, who rose to fame nearly a decade ago on the hit MTV show Jersey Shore, were looking sensational at the bash in their saucy looks.

Nicole, 30, put her decolletage on display in a glittering jumpsuit with a striped colorful pattern and a set of fringed half-sleeves. Jennifer, 32, flashed her cleavage in a plunging black mini-dress covered in a shimmery motif.

The Long Island native heightened the leggy look of the outfit by slipping into a high-heeled pair of black thigh-high boots. Snooki and JWoww's pregnant Jersey Shore co-star Deena Cortese showed her legs to advantage in a floral caped number, upping the glam factor with a string of pearls

Booted up: The Survive The Summer artist also rocked some heavily-studded boots for her red carpet turn

Iggy Azalea flaunted her surgically enhanced features as she opted for a corset-style leather top and a geometric style skirt for the evening. Iggy's ample cleavage and tiny waist was the main focus of her outfit on Monday night.

She paired the leather top with a black, white and pink pleated mini skirt that flared out. The Kream songstress completed her look with black over-the-knee studded pointed-toe boots.

Iggy accessorised her look with large cross earrings and dainty rings. The beauty had her wavy shoulder-length blonde locks styled out into a wet look. Her makeup was kept matte and like her radiant decolletage, was also contoured. Iggy's glam also featured a blue eyelid with a plump pinkey nude lip.

Meanwhile Scream 4 actor Nico Tortorella kept it weird in a trench coat adorned with Simpsons quotes.

Underneath the statement piece, the 30-year-old wore a mesh tank top and tartan trousers.

On his feet he wore platform boots and had wrapped a heavy chain around his neck, before capping off the bizarre ensemble with a beret.

Just Friends singer Morgan Saint left little to the imagination in a sheer white outfit.

The Thru Your Phone artist showed plenty of nipple in the all but transparent garb, which she paired with black leather shoes and lent a religious touch with crucifix earrings and necklace.

The songstress wore plenty of smokey eye makeup for the evening on the red carpet and completed her quirky look with a cute jet black pixie hairdo.

Rapper Asian Doll channeled her inner Cher in a yellow outfit taken straight out of 90s rom-com Clueless.

The Crunch Time singer paired a tiny yellow tartan jacket and skirt with a skimpy crop top -also in bright yellow- that gave an unfettered view of the singer's toned tummy - and her diamond belly button ring.

The eccentric outfit was capped off with a pair of triangle framed sunglasses.

White on! Dej Loaf lived dangerously in an all-white get up that was practically a magnet for food stains
