ALBAWABA - On Thursday, only a few hours after filing for divorce from Offset, Cardi B announced that she was expecting a child by posting a picture of her unclothed baby bulge on Instagram.

In the long message that she posted on Instagram, she said, "With every ending comes a new beginning! I am very thankful that we were able to spend this season together. Greater love, greater life, and, most importantly, fresh strength are all things that you have provided to me. You brought to my attention the fact that I am capable of having everything!

"You reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion!" she continued, addressing her unborn child in the message. I adore you, and I can't wait for you to see what you've inspired and helped me do.

It is much simpler to accept the challenges and obstacles that life throws at you, but you, along with your brother and sister, have shown me why it is in my best interest to keep going! She went on to say,.

The news of Cardi B's pregnancy comes not long after it was announced that she had filed for divorce from Offset and gone to court to petition for the dissolution of their marriage.

The fact that she didn't include her spouse in the article prompted people to comment, which is an intriguing fact.

Cardi's pregnancy announcement comes one day after she filed for divorce from husband Offset, 32, after six years of marriage, a representative for the "Bodak Yellow" rapper confirmed to PEOPLE. "It’s not based on cheating rumors, but rather has been a long time coming," the rep said.

The outlet reported that Cardi B, 31, is seeking primary custody of their children together, son Wave Set, 2½, and daughter Kulture Kiari, 6. The divorce filing was not publicly available at press time.
