Cara Delevingne and Ashley Benson have reportedly split after nearly two years of dating.

It has been claimed that the couple called it quits last month after their relationship had 'run its course.'

Cara, 27, and Ashley, 30, first sparked dating rumours in August 2018 when they were spotted kissing in London's Heathrow Airport, but did not confirm their relationship until a year later.

A source told People: 'Cara and Ashley always had their ups and down before but it's over now, their relationship just ran its course.'

They added that Cara has been spending time with her close pals including Margaret Qualley and fellow supermodel Kaia Gerber.

MailOnline has contacted representatives for Ashley Benson and Cara Delevingne for comment.

The split comes after Cara confirmed she and Ashley had fostered two puppies in the midst of the coronavirus crisis.

They first sparked dating rumours in August 2018 when they were spotted kissing in London's Heathrow Airport.

Cara did not confirmed their romance until June last year, when she shared a snap kissing Ashley to mark both their one-year anniversary and the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots.

Speaking to E! News about the video she said: 'I don't know because it is Pride, it's been 50 years since Stonewall happened and I don't know.

It's been just about our one year anniversary so, why not?' Cara then spoke about her relationship with Ashley during an interview with ELLE UK, as she explained why they kept it a secret for so long.

She said: 'It just feels incredible when you're not alone, when you're facing the world with someone else.

'I don't want to be so secretive that people think I'm ashamed of anything. But I've never been in a relationship where things are so public, or where I posted pictures of someone else.

'This seemed different. We had gotten to the point where we had kept it a secret, or at least not wanted attention, and now I feel like I'm not going to not be proud.'

In August 2018, before confirming she and Cara were dating, Ashley explained why she tries to keep her romances private.

She told People Now: 'I think [privacy is] the best way in any relationship. I've always been very private about them, and I think it's just better.

'I mean it's hard, I don't know, you kind of can't get away from that if you're in the public eye. I just kinda try to keep myself as private as possible.'
