ALBAWABA - Records from the Ventura County jail show that Britney Spears was jailed in Southern California on Wednesday night.

Police in California arrested Britney Spears, 44, around 9:30 p.m. PT on Wednesday and let her go on Thursday, according to the records. Her car was taken away.

There is no reason given in the papers for why she was arrested. TMZ was the first to report that Spears had been arrested. A spokesperson for Spears told NBC News, "This was a terrible accident that can't be explained at all." "Britney is going to take the right steps and comply with the law, and hopefully this can be the first step in long overdue change that needs to occur in Britney’s life."

The agent said that Spears' "boys" are going to hang out with her. With her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, she has two grown boys. Someone from the company said, "Her family is going to make a long-overdue plan to set her up for success in her health." Furthermore, the statement didn't say why she was jailed.

When asked for a response, the California Highway Patrol did not respond right away. Roy's Towing, the company that took Spears' car, wouldn't say anything.

Britney Spears was arrested after posting many videos to her Instagram account over the past few years. Most of the videos showed her dancing alone in her Thousand Oaks, California, home. People online have made fun of the pop star's seemingly endless stream of videos and long social media diary posts, and some have even said they are worried about her mental health.

Britney Spears' Instagram account appeared to disappear on Thursday morning.

It's also been five years since a judge freed her from a controversial conservatorship, a legal arrangement that allowed her father to control her finances, job, and personal life for thirteen years. In the early 2000s, Spears had a run of mental health crises, which included public breakdowns and hospitalizations that raised concerns about her well-being. Her father named her conservator.

The pop star wrote about the conservatorship in her 2018 best-selling book, "The Woman In Me." She talked about how other people controlled almost every part of her life, including her career decisions, personal relationships, and financial matters, which left her feeling trapped and powerless.

Even though she has been in a lot of high-profile public events and been under a lot of media scrutiny, like the time she was caught hitting a car with an umbrella and a freshly shaved head, Spears has never been arrested.

Few songs have sold more copies than "Baby One More Time," "Oops! I Did It Again!" "Womanizer," and "I'm a Slave 4 U" by Britney Spears. Many people call her the "Princess of Pop," and she's probably one of the most famous singers of our time.

In 2004, for her hit song "Toxic," she got her first Grammy for Best Dance Recording. She was also nominated for seven other awards.

In the past few weeks, Spears gave publisher Primary Wave the rights to all of her music for about $200 million.
