The Arab world is still mourning the death of iconic Egyptian actress Zubaida Tharwat, who passed away on Tuesday, but this morning they were shocked to learn that another legendary Egyptian actor has passed away.
Ahmed Rateb died on Wednesday morning following a sudden heart attack.
Rateb was one of Egyptian TV and cinema's best-known actors. He has been in over 60 films since 1979 and was famous, and loved, for his comedic roles.
Rateb's death comes as a shock since he was still active on stage a day before his death. The actor was performing in his new play "Balad Al Sultan" alongside renowned actor Mahmoud al Jundi in Cairo.
The late actor was also busy filming scenes for the TV series "Al Jama3a" and "Al Ab Al Rouhi."
RIP, dear Ahmed.
