Isn't it fun trying to guess what celebrities looked like before they were famous? Mainly because we secretly want to know that they're just as imperfect as we are, and to give us hope that maybe one day, we could be superstars too!
While in the Arab world, it's a little harder to get a hold of celebrities' awkward high school photos, Western media is a total pro at digging up embarrassing videos and snapshots of stars before they had a Hollywood Star!
Luckily though, we got our hands on a video of a young Sherine Abdel Wahab singing her heart out at what looked like a performance put on by her school choir. The Egyptian singer was selected as the solo performer, where she did a rendition of Fayza Ahmed's classic hit "Sitt El Habayeb."
In the video, little Sherine boasts a big voice, much like the one we know and admire today. She sings with confidence, passion and fluency.
Besides Sherine's naturally strong vocals, we can vouch for something else that isn't fake about her. Her trademark button nose and pouty lips weren't the work of a talented plastic surgeon; they're all the work of God, just as this 20-something-old video proves!
The 34-year-old must have had an instinct that she would grow up to become a beloved superstar with millions of fans worldwide.
And now, it's time for the video of the hour... enjoy!
