During the successive holidays this month, Evuar Theater in Beirut will host Hanin and her Cuban troupe during the period between December 17-19 and Jose Fernandes between 20-22, according to the daily Al Nahar.
The concerts will include Hanin’s prominent songs including Albi Wa Muftahoh (My Heart and Its Key), Ana Wil A’azab Wi Hawak (Myself, Suffering and Your Love), Emta Hatearaf (When Will You Know), Ala Bali (In My Memory), Ya Habibi Taala (Come My Love), El Hilwa Di (This Beautiful), Ya Zahratan Fi Khayali (Rose in My Imagination) and Kan Agmal Yawm (It Was Most Beautiful Day).
The Lebanese singer will also perform new songs from her new CD, which will be released next May including songs for the Lebanese diva Sabah, blended with Cuban rhythms.
Fernandes concerts will include his Spanish songs blended with Arabic music based on songs for Mohammed Abdel Wahhab, Umm Kulthoom, Farid Al Atrash and Abdel Halim Hafez which attract audiences and females in particular because they are remade in a modern style. The troupe will be led by George Al Safi and will include four singers in addition to the Gibsy dancer Luna.
Fernandes and Michelle Alfteryades have added Spanish words blended with the charm, glory, rhythm and mystery of the east to the Arabic songs that belong to different periods. These range from Umm Kulthom songs such as Ghannili Shway (Sing For Me Little) to Abdel Halim Hafez’ songs Gabbar (Great) and Awwel Marrah Tehebb Ya Albi (My Heart You Love for First Time) and Farid Al Atrash’s songs Hebbina (Love Us) and Albi Wa Muftahoh (My Heart and its Key).
These eternal songs and their tunes will attract the audience of love songs to listen to a Spanish young singer of Gibsy ancestors who aspires to originality and heritage.
