ALBAWABA - Bassam Kousa Ramadan 2025 series "The Hero" resumes filming despite ongoing challenges in Syria.
Following the collapse of Bashar al-Assad's administration and the subsequent takeover of Damascus by the opposition, Syrian artist Bassam Kousa will start filming his series "The Hero" around the beginning of the following week. The events in Syria temporarily halted the series.
Syria has interrupted the production of a large number of plays over the past few days. Due to this unplanned and prolonged halt, there are hopes that some of these dramas may not be presented during the upcoming Ramadan as originally planned.
However, the art news website "ET Bel Arabi" reported that the team behind "The Hero" series will resume filming in Syria.
The series features a number of actors, including Bassam Kousa, Farah Bseiso, Mahmoud Nasr, Nour Ali, Fadi Sabih, Wissam Reda, Khaled Shabat, Nancy Khoury, Rasoul Hussein, and others.

Muhammad Zuhair Rajab is the director of the show, and the "Qabnoud" company is the producer. The company has not announced a return to filming the series.
Bassam Kousa has, up until this point, refrained from making any statements regarding the unprecedented transformation that has taken place in Syria since the previous Sunday, as well as his stance on the opposition that has taken control of the government of the country.
Simultaneously, the production of several Syrian television programs came to a halt, prompting a large number of artists, including those known for their public allegiance to former President Bashar al-Assad, to express their support for change and criticize him.
Sulaf Fawakherji is one of the actors who has reportedly fled Syria after the fall of Assad's reign; the fate of certain unfinished operas is still unknown. This is especially true in light of claims that some of the actors have departed Syria.
