Syrian director Hisham Sharbaji hopes to hit the jackpot with a new TV series called Nabil and Safaa.
The series deals with the story of a lucky employee who wins a huge sum of money in the lottery of a tissues company, according to the Syria Times.
The employee’s wife becomes jealous following her husband’s win. Fearing a second marriage for her husband, she tries to spend all the money. But her husband’s wealth increases and he remains committed to his wife and children.
The series, which costars Ayman Zeidan, Hussam Tahsin Bek, Najah Hafiz and Lina Hawarneh, is being filmed at different locations in old Damascus, and produced by the Al Sham Company for TV Production.
Zeidan played a role in the Jamil and Hana series with Norman Asaad, which was also directed by Sharbaji. The two series reflect the ability of Zeidan to achieve success in social drama similar to the success he realized in playing roles in historical and political TV drama – Albawaba.com
